Artist Statement

Tezuka's more notorious work: Astro Boy For as long as I can remember, I have fostered a profound interest in the visual and storytelling art of graphic novels and their television counterparts. Born in Europe in 1996 and having moved to New York at the age of three I was exposed to a variety of different comics prompting me as a young child to explore the many creations of various esteemed artists and writers such as Lewis Trondheim, Art Spiegelman and Osamu Tezuka, all of which carried profound impacts in their respective fields of work as well as influencing my passion for drawing and recording. Their styles radically different, these artists and their entourage built a world beyond reality that has left a legacy easily seen by many as a landmark milestone in the history of graphic media.
